AUTHENTIC TEXAS STYLE BBQ

Hi,  I'm Eric Garner, the founder, operator, and CEO of Big Tex BBQ.  Alongside my brother Kevin Garner, we manage & operate Big Tex BBQ.  Before changing careers to the Food Truck industry I spent 20 years in retail, with the last six years being the Store Director of 200 plus associates.  With BBQ & cooking being my passion I decided on a new venture and started up my own business.

​My vision is to expand this business to three or four trucks along with a brick and mortar restaurant one day.  My beautiful wife of 13 years Heather, has wholeheartedly supported me throughout the entire journey. Heather, who also enjoys cooking when I don't elbow her out of the kitchen, is my rock and voice of reason.  Our only child is a very spoiled four-legged one who also has a passion for food.  His name is Hank, named after Hank Williams, who is a pit bull rescued from the streets of Miami.  He loves eating, sleeping, and swimming....in that specific order.  My wife and I enjoy listening to country music and going to church at Christ Fellowship which is awesome just like the people that go there.  When I’m not barbecuing, or at church, I enjoy spending time in nature, weight lifting, billiards, and disc golf.
